Joy cometh in the morning

The introduction of this book referenced Psalms 30 vs 5 which reads from the KJV: "...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." This verse is one of my favorite verses and speaks directly to my heart. It is very easy to feel that relief is far away from the adversity that life occasionally brings. We are psychologically conditioned to remember pain and disappointment more than our joys, and we are socialized to believe that happiness is a priority feeling. Unfortunately, this is untrue and there is value in the feeling of anger and at times sadness, it motivates us to know we must do something to change the circumstance or even register the experience in our minds to learn from it. Often with sadness, the first inclination may be retreating and isolating, but the healing from sadness may come from drawing closer to those you may need or who may also need you. My hope is that you may be encouraged to know that regardless what setbacks occur in your life, whether large or small, be open to the return of your joy!,There will be another day to try again, or begin the process to accept what you cannot change or control.

XOXO
